The Automated Tissue Microarrayer is an instrument which can pick up the sample tissue from the donor blocks and insert the sample into the correspondent hole of the premade recipient block automatically.
The Automated Tissue Microarrayer is an instrument which can pick up the sample tissue from the donor blocks and insert the sample into the correspondent hole of the premade recipient block automatically. The computer-aided Quick Ray Master (UATM-272A) is the integrated tissue microarrayer running on Windows XP and operated via a touchscreen with an LCD monitor. It can also be connected to external monitors, a USB keyboard, and a USB mouse.
Additionally, a quick help function key is available, providing various tips including instructions for saving image files and reporting recipient block information through an external USB memory device or an external PC via LAN interface.
Quick Ray Master helps researchers reduce time and labour in creating blocks by using premade recipient blocks supplied by Unitma. The rotary-type tip module consists of three tip sizes: 1 mm (10 × 12 = 120 holes, maximum 240 holes in one slide), 2 mm (6 × 10 = 60 holes, maximum 120 holes in one slide), and 3 mm (5 × 6 = 30 holes, maximum 60 holes in one slide). The system allows automatic selection and change of the desired tip through the software according to the researcher’s requirements.
