The MICROTEST Dual Leadscrew Stage is a highly versatile mechanical testing platform designed for tensile and compression experiments with both transmitted and reflected illumination. Compatible with optical microscopes, XRD systems, and synchrotron facilities, the stage supports 2kN and 5kN maximum loads, with optional loadcells of 500N and 1kN, enabling precise mechanical characterization across a wide range of materials.
Engineered for research-grade material testing, the Dual Leadscrew Stage features dual symmetrical stainless steel leadscrews for precise, centered sample movement. It can be mounted vertically, like a conventional tensile tester, or horizontally on a bench or microscope stage.
The stage includes removable sample clamps for custom configurations, including fiber clamps, three- and four-point bending clamps, or specialized clamps for unique specimen shapes. Optional temperature-controlled clamps allow testing over a wide range from -150°C to 550°C, with heating or combined heating and cooling.
Integrated Windows-based software provides live stress-strain plotting, constant load or force control, set-point monitoring, and data export in CSV format.
Compact and robust (300 × 150 × 50 mm, ~6 kg), the stage delivers precision displacement control, high-resolution linear position readout (300 nm), and highly accurate load measurement.
Flexible Illumination – Supports transmitted and reflected light for microscopy
Load Range – Standard 2kN and 5kN, optional loadcells 500N, 1kN
Displacement Control – Dual symmetrical leadscrews with 20 mm travel (10–30 mm optional)
High-Resolution Measurement – Linear scale with 300 nm resolution
Load Accuracy – Static 1000:1, Dynamic 2000:1
Speed Control – Standard 0.033–0.4 mm/min (optional faster gearbox)
Customizable Clamps – Fiber, three/four-point bending, special specimen holders
Temperature Control – Optional heated or heated/cooled clamps (-150°C to 550°C)
Mounting Flexibility – Vertically with feet or horizontally on benches/microscope stages
Software Integration – MICROTEST USB control, live stress-strain visualization, CSV export
