Developed for precise mechanical testing in microscopy-integrated environments, the three-point bending module features an inverted configuration for SEM use: the sample rests on a central fixed point, while the two outer points are driven downwards. This ensures that the high-strain region remains on top for easier viewing and stays in focus throughout deformation.
The standard load capacity is 300N, with deformation speeds from 0.05 mm/min to 5 mm/min. A high-load version accommodates loads up to 2kN. Standard sample width is 40 mm, and the top/bottom jaws (points) are interchangeable, allowing indentation studies, custom sample geometries, or four-point bending experiments.
All modules are controlled via MICROTEST software, which sets drive parameters and displays live stress-strain curves on the PC screen, ensuring accurate, repeatable measurements. Custom versions are available to meet specialized research requirements.
