The MICROTEST 2kN & 5kN Stages are high-load tensile testing modules designed for real-time observation of mechanical deformation in samples using SEM, optical microscopes, AFM, or XRD systems. With load ranges from 150N up to 5kN and extension rates from 0.005 mm/min to 50 mm/min, these modules deliver precise stress-strain data while keeping samples perfectly centered in the imaging field.
Engineered for high-precision mechanical characterization of larger or stronger samples, the 2kN module supports forces from 660N to 2kN and is ideal for polymers, thin films, fibers, and thin metals, while the 5kN module accommodates ceramics, metals, and polymers requiring higher forces. Both stages employ dual-threaded leadscrews to move jaws symmetrically, maintaining sample alignment for uninterrupted high-resolution imaging.
The modules feature linear elongation scales, optical encoder-controlled speed, and Windows-based software for setting drive parameters and live stress-strain curve visualization. Optional configurations include three- and four-point bending clamps, fiber clamps, and microscope mounting adapters.
Advanced heating & cooling options are available: standard Peltier systems allow -20°C to +160°C, and specialized SEM-compatible stages can reach up to 600°C, supporting observation at 0° and 70° angles with EBSD detector integration. Custom designs for extended travel, stroke, or sample length are available.
