The MC Cell Disruptor from Constant Systems Limited is a compact, benchtop high-pressure cell disruption system designed for small-volume processing from 0.5mL to 40mL per cycle. Featuring precise hydraulic control and three processing modes—SC, MC, and RC—it delivers accurate, consistent single-pass results for fluid, viscous, tissue, plant, frozen, and microbial samples.
The MC Cell Disruptor is the most versatile small-volume processing system offered by Constant Systems Limited. With a compact footprint of approximately 500mm², it fits comfortably on a laboratory benchtop, while its purpose-built trolley ensures optimal working height and safe mobility with full swivel, lockable casters.
Designed for precision and reliability, the MC is capable of processing volumes from 0.5mL to 40mL per cycle and is recommended for total sample volumes up to 80mL. This makes it an ideal upgrade for laboratories transitioning from traditional bench-top methods such as bead beating and sonication to a more controlled and scalable high-pressure cell disruption system.
The MC utilizes Constant Systems’ precise and consistent hydraulic control, scalable across the entire product range—from 0.5mL single preparations to large-scale processing at 150L per hour. This ensures that every sample is processed exactly at the operator-defined pressure, delivering accurate, reproducible results. In most cases, a single pass is sufficient, eliminating the need for multiple processing cycles.
The system offers three flexible processing modes:
SC Mode (Single Cycle) – Ideal for 0.5mL to 8mL volumes and suitable for fluid, solid, frozen, tissue, or plant samples.
MC Mode (Multi Cycle) – Designed for volumes above 8mL up to 40mL per process (recommended total volume ≤80mL), suitable for fluid and re-suspended samples.
RC Mode (Re Cycle) – Enables multiple passes of the same sample without repeated manual collection and reintroduction. This mode is especially effective for difficult sample types such as Gram Positive Bacteria, certain Fungi, and Algae, with processing volumes up to 80mL.
The MC Cell Disruptor is widely used in biotechnology, microbiology, pharmaceutical research, and molecular biology laboratories requiring reliable, small-volume, high-pressure cell disruption with maximum control and efficiency.
